Reverse Osmosis
is a membrane separation process wherein purified water is extracted
by using synthetic membranes which are permeable to water molecules
but relatively non-permeable to contaminants. The raw water stream
is first pressurized to reverse the natural osmosis process that
occurs across the semi-permeable membranes.
The ROS-100 System is
a reverse osmosis module designed for large industrial applications.
Each ROS module utilizes 8 inch diameter spiral wound membranes,
housed in
fiberglass
vessels producing a capacity of 100 G.P.M. The modular design allows for easy
expansion.
The ROS-100 is a
free standing system designed and engineered for ease of maintenance and
operation. Solid state controls provide continuous monitoring
of all critical
parameters in addition the
system will automatically stop the system when conditions are not within
preset limits, i.e. low suction pressure, high product conductivity. Instrumentation
includes liquid-filled pressure gauges;
product and concentrate flow meters; and a conductivity meter to measure
product water quality.
PUMP PACKAGES
Pumps are selected according to the number of ROS-100 modules. The pumps are
stainless steel centrifugal
type with integral 3- phase, 60hz or 50hz, (optional) TEFC (totally enclosed
fan cooled optional) motors.
